A Bit About Me

I graduated with a BFA in VFX & Motion Graphics in December 2014 and hit the ground running: first with an internship at Sticky, moving to Associate MGD with GuideSpark, a fast-paced communications company that used content to make complex information digestible to our customers’ employees. I worked hard and learned a lot on my way up to Senior MGD. In that time, I was responsible for creating short-form customer videos while addressing internal reviews and customer edits to ensure we provided the best content possible. I balanced working on a variety of projects, running concurrently, with proactively supporting the team in various ways: participating in the development of new styles, rigging characters, developing tools and assets to leverage for internal use, and mentoring new hires. Outside of my skills as a designer, I was relied on to scope projects, manage timelines and deadlines, and communicate across departments.

I love being a motion designer. I love the journey of finding creative solutions to design challenges. Making something come together and come alive from just an idea is the best feeling. There are lots of stories to tell: narrative, informational, instructional, pure entertainment, and so on. I don't have have any particular ego about what kind of content I lean into; I want to tell them all. If you push me to describe my dream job it would probably be making fun, snappy animated shorts for social media or pulling apart still art and crafting motion comics.
